Most motherboards comes with only intel graphics chip which is primarily responsible for display. Others comes with both intel and dedicated graphics chip. Intel graphics chip are more regid in structure with pretty much high durability. One of the major drawbacks of intel graphics chip is that it cannot handle huge graphics processing task like video editing or gaming that requires high resolution and graphics processing power hence the advent of discreet graphics chips such as nvidia, radeon and ati.
